Low Concentrated, abbreviated as L grade, is ready-to-use pre-diluted monomeric alkyl silane, the standard finished product of Emcephob series, specially formulated for conventional concrete hydrophobic protection without on-site dilution. Different from HC high-concentration stock liquid requiring solvent blending, L product is pre-configured with stable effective silane content around 30%–40%, packaged for direct construction once opening the barrel.
It features moderate penetrating performance complying with Class I standard of EN1504-2. Small-molecule silane soaks into concrete capillary holes moderately, generates cross-linked hydrophobic siloxane inside substrates after hydrolysis, forms no closed surface film and retains concrete’s natural breathability, effectively preventing surface blistering and peeling. The finished agent cuts capillary water absorption obviously, resists rainwater erosion, freeze-thaw damage and mild salt intrusion, inhibits concrete efflorescence and moss growth on exterior surfaces.
With steady chemical property, Low Concentrated L hardly separates or crystallizes under normal storage and low-temperature conditions, featuring low volatility compared with concentrated HC, simpler construction safety control. Compatible with spray and roller coating techniques, it is widely applied for common highway bridges, precast concrete components, building pier columns and civil exterior concrete projects under ordinary corrosive environment.
In cost layout, L saves on-site dilution labor and solvent procurement cost, balancing construction convenience and basic anti-chloride performance. It cannot reach the deep penetration and heavy anti-corrosion level of HC concentrated raw liquid, hence unsuitable for severe coastal port and heavy saline-alkali foundation projects. Thanks to convenient operation and stable routine protection effect, Low Concentrated L becomes the mainstream general-purpose silane for domestic and conventional infrastructure waterproofing.
