Silane-based Concrete Water Repellent

1. Main Properties

  1. Deep penetration and chemical bonding
    With tiny molecular structure, it penetrates deep into concrete to form an internal water-repellent layer instead of a surface coating. It creates stable chemical bonds with concrete, featuring strong adhesion, wear resistance and resistance to peeling.
  2. Water repellent and vapor permeable
    It effectively blocks liquid water infiltration. Meanwhile, it keeps the concrete breathable, allowing internal moisture vapor to escape freely. No blistering or delamination will occur.
  3. Excellent weather resistance and long service life
    Resistant to UV rays, extreme temperature changes, freeze-thaw cycles, salt and alkali erosion. It maintains stable performance outdoors, with a protective lifespan of 15 to 25 years.
  4. No impact on appearance and subsequent construction
    Colorless and transparent. It does not change the original color, texture or gloss of concrete, and is compatible with follow-up plastering and painting work.
  5. Eco-friendly and safe
    Low VOC content, non-toxic, odorless and non-flammable. It can be used for drinking water facilities and civil buildings.

2. Concrete Problems It Solves

  1. Steel reinforcement corrosion
    Blocks moisture and chloride ions from entering, preventing steel bar rust. It avoids cracks and spalling of the concrete protective layer caused by rust expansion.
  2. Freeze-thaw damage
    Greatly reduces water absorption of concrete. It prevents volume expansion of frozen water inside pores, and eliminates surface sanding, loosening, peeling and surface cracks.
  3. Salt erosion and efflorescence
    Resists damage from de-icing salts, seawater and saline soil. It inhibits salt efflorescence, whitening and surface pulverization.
  4. Alkali-aggregate reaction
    Restricts water ingress into the structure, slows down alkali-aggregate reaction and prevents structural cracks caused by internal expansion.
  5. Concrete carbonation
    Slows down the penetration of carbon dioxide, reduces the carbonation rate of concrete and extends the service life of structures.
  6. Micro-crack expansion, mold and moss growth
    Seals micro cracks and stops them from expanding. It lowers surface humidity to inhibit the growth of mold and moss.
